A Singapore cruise trip starts and ends in a city that is a year-round cruise port. Singapore has a regulated public transport network, English is widely spoken, and direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru reach Singapore Changi Airport in about four and a half to five and a half hours. For Indian travellers, a Singapore stay before boarding adds city sights without a long journey.

Our packages have two parts. The first is a short Singapore stay, covering the waterfront at Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay, Chinatown and Little India. The second is time on board, in a cruise cabin in the category confirmed for your booking. The ship, the sailing route and the port calls depend on the sailing you choose, so ask for the sailing itinerary with your quote.

Choose the Singapore Malaysia Cruise 3N, a three-night trip with one night in Singapore before boarding, or the Singapore Fly-Cruise Combo 6N, which gives two city days and four nights at sea. If you need a different length or sailing, ask our planners for a custom quote. For deeper planning, read the Singapore cruise travel guide, places to visit and trip cost. For the wider city, see Singapore tour packages and the Singapore travel guide.

Our verdict

February and March are the months our research recommends for a Singapore cruise, because rainfall is generally lower. Singapore is hot and humid all year, with daytime highs of about 31°C to 32°C. Expect showers in every month. December is the wettest, with about 332 mm of rain on average. Cruise sailings vary by date, so check the sailing before you choose a month. Day by day

Sample 7-day Singapore cruises itinerary

Based on our Singapore Fly-Cruise Combo 6N package. Your trip expert can stretch or shorten any day.

  1. Day1

    Arrival in Singapore

Land at Singapore Changi Airport and allow time for immigration and baggage collection. Transfer to your Singapore stay by taxi or private vehicle, and rest after the journey. Keep the evening easy, with a walk along the waterfront at Marina Bay if you have energy. The first day is for settling in, because the sights start the next morning.

    Night in Singapore
  2. Day2

Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay and the river

Start at Gardens by the Bay in the morning, before the afternoon heat, and visit the outdoor Supertree Grove. After lunch, see Marina Bay and Merlion Park for skyline views. In the evening, take a river walk along Singapore River to Clarke Quay, which is more comfortable after sunset. Return to your Singapore stay to rest before the next morning.

    Night in Singapore
  3. Day3

Sentosa or Universal Studios, then boarding

Spend the morning at Sentosa, with its beaches and cable-car views, or at Universal Studios Singapore if you are travelling with children. Plan your time carefully, because the theme park takes a full day. Check out of your Singapore stay and transfer to the cruise terminal for check-in and boarding in line with your sailing time.

    Night in On board
  4. Day4

    First day at sea

Settle into your cabin and explore the ship. Dining times, onboard activities and any port calls follow the cruise line's sailing itinerary, which we share with your quote. Onboard rules are set by the cruise line, so read them before you sail, and keep your travel documents with you.

    Night in On board
  5. Day5

    Second day at sea

Spend the day on board and rest between activities. Check the sailing itinerary for any ports the ship calls at, and decide whether you want to use the port time. Shore excursions and attraction tickets are extra unless listed in your booking, so book them in advance where the cruise line allows.

    Night in On board
  6. Day6

    Third day at sea

Use the day for rest, meals and the ship's facilities. Pack most of your bags before the final evening, and set aside documents, medication and valuables. Confirm the time you leave the ship with the cruise line, because it can vary by sailing. Plan a quiet evening, since the next morning starts early.

    Night in On board
  7. Day7

    Leave the ship and depart

Leave the ship in line with your sailing schedule and collect your bags. Transfer to Singapore Changi Airport by taxi or private vehicle for your flight home. Allow extra time for traffic and check-in, because the transfer can take longer than expected. Keep your passport and visa papers with you until you have checked in.

Budget guide

How much does a Singapore cruises trip cost?

Four things shape the cost of a Singapore cruise trip: the cabin category you choose, the number of nights in Singapore before boarding, the length of the sailing, and the season. Holiday-period demand is higher in January and December. Flights, the visa fee, travel insurance, meals outside your booking and shore activities are extra. Read Singapore cruise trip cost for details.

FAQs

Singapore cruises tour package FAQs

Quick answers to what travellers ask before booking a Singapore cruises trip. Ask your trip expert anything else.

How many days should I plan for a Singapore cruise trip?

Two nights in Singapore before boarding is tight but workable for the main sights. Three or more nights gives room for Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa and a heritage district without rushing. Our six-night package includes two nights in Singapore before a four-night sailing, which suits most first-time cruise travellers from India.

Do Indians need a visa for a Singapore cruise?

In most cases, yes. Indian ordinary-passport holders need a Singapore entry visa, and a cruise call does not remove that need. A visa does not guarantee entry, and your passport should be valid for at least six months. Read our visa guide for the full checklist and the conditional transit option.

Do your Singapore cruise packages include flights?

No. Flights are booked separately. Direct flights run from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru to Singapore Changi Airport, taking about four and a half to five and a half hours. Our planners can suggest timings that fit your sailing and your transfer to the cruise terminal. Visa assistance is included.

What cabin types are available?

Our research lists four cabin categories: budget, standard, premium and luxury. The exact cabin, its size and its features depend on the cruise line and the sailing, so we confirm your category in the quote. Meal arrangements also vary by category, so check what is listed in your booking before you sail.

Are the ship and sailing route fixed in your packages?

The packages set out the trip length and the order of the days. The ship, sailing route and port calls depend on the sailing you book. Ask us for the sailing itinerary with your quote, so you can check port calls and timings before you agree to the trip.

Can I see Singapore on a cruise without a separate stay?

A same-day port visit may cover some central sights, but it is rushed. For international arrivals from India, a night in Singapore before boarding is more practical. It allows time for immigration, luggage, boarding and any flight delay.

Is Singapore suitable for children on a cruise trip?

Yes. Sentosa, Universal Studios Singapore, Gardens by the Bay and Mandai Wildlife Reserve suit families. Each needs substantial walking and advance ticket planning. Choose one or two attractions a day, and plan shaded breaks during the afternoon heat.

What food can Indian travellers find in Singapore?

Little India has Indian restaurants and shops, and vegetarian options are widely available. Singapore also offers Malay, Chinese and international food. Ask about ingredients and preparation if your dietary needs are strict. Hawker centres and food courts are easy places to eat between sights.

Is Singapore safe and easy to get around?

Singapore has established visitor infrastructure and regulated public transport. Visitors use the MRT, public buses, metered taxis, ride-hailing and walking. Take normal precautions, follow local laws, and keep passports and valuables secure. Transfers to the cruise terminal can be arranged by taxi or private vehicle.

When should I book a Singapore cruise package?

Book early for January and December, when holiday demand can be higher. Ask for a written quote that lists the cabin category, sailing dates, inclusions and exclusions before you pay. Our planners can then confirm timings for your departure city and flights.
