At a glance
Europe is a region of many countries, languages and rail networks rather than one destination. For Indian travellers, the most common plan is a multi-country circuit built around Paris, the Swiss Alps, Italy, and sometimes Amsterdam or Barcelona. Most Indian passport holders need a Schengen visa for short stays. One visa for the 29-country Schengen Area allows up to 90 days in any 180-day period, so a single application can cover several countries.
Trip length shapes the holiday. Three days is tight and suits one city. Five days works for one major city plus one nearby stop. Seven to ten days suit a focused three-country circuit, and fourteen days allow a slower route with more regional depth. Travellers often say a slower route is better than covering many countries quickly, because long transfers can take over the holiday.
Our four Europe packages follow that advice. Swiss Paris Classic 7N pairs Paris with Lucerne. Europe Honeymoon 9N adds Venice and Florence for a romantic route. Best of Europe 10N covers Paris, Lucerne, Venice and Rome, and Grand Europe 14N adds Amsterdam and Florence for a longer route. Each quote lists what is included. Summer needs earlier booking, so start planning early for June to August. Read our Europe travel guide and places to visit in Europe before you choose. If you prefer one country, see our Switzerland tour packages or Italy tour packages.

Season guide
April to May and September to October generally give a balanced mix of mild weather, manageable crowds and lower prices. May is one of the strongest months for multi-country touring, with long days. June to August is peak season, with the warmest weather but busy attractions and higher prices. December brings Christmas markets with festive pricing, while January and February suit museums and winter cities. See the full best time to visit Europe guide.
Day by day
Based on our Swiss Paris Classic 7N package. Your trip expert can stretch or shorten any day.
Arrive in Paris and transfer to your central hotel. Check in, rest after the journey and take a short walk to get your bearings. Keep the first day light, because the Louvre and Eiffel Tower visits start the next morning.
Spend the morning at the Louvre on your timed entry. Choose a few galleries rather than the whole collection, since the building is large. In the afternoon, visit the Eiffel Tower on a pre-booked slot. Allow time for security and queues, and rest before dinner.
Spend the day exploring central Paris on foot and by metro, with a café stop in the afternoon. In the evening, take the Seine cruise to see the city's landmarks from the river. Return to your hotel at a pace that suits your energy.
Use this day for a museum, market or neighbourhood you missed on the earlier days. Keep the morning relaxed. In the afternoon, pack your bags and check the rail details for tomorrow's journey to Lucerne. Rest in the evening.
Travel from Paris to Lucerne by scenic rail, with your luggage handled by the selected transfer as per the itinerary. Check in at your lakefront hotel and take a short walk along the water. Use the evening to rest, since the next days include a mountain excursion.
Spend the day on a mountain excursion from Lucerne, using cable cars and rail as per the itinerary. Confirm cable-car operations before you set out, because weather can close viewpoints. Return to the lakefront in the afternoon and enjoy dinner by the water.
Use the day for a slow walk along the lakefront and a browse of the town centre. This is also your flexible day, so the mountain excursion can move here if the weather closed the viewpoints. A lake cruise is available as an optional activity. Pack for departure in the evening.
Enjoy breakfast and check out. Your selected transfer takes you to your onward point, such as the airport or rail station, leaving enough time for check-in and security. Allow extra time if your flight leaves late in the day.

FAQs
Quick answers to what travellers ask before booking a Europe (multi-country) trip. Ask your trip expert anything else.
Seven to ten days suit a focused three-country circuit, such as Paris, Switzerland and Italy. Five days works for one major city plus one nearby stop. Fourteen days allow a slower route with more regional depth. Three days is tight and suits one city only.
France, Switzerland and Italy make a strong first circuit. They combine iconic cities, Alpine scenery, art, food and efficient rail connections. Adding Amsterdam or Barcelona brings variety, but each extra stop adds a hotel change and a transfer day.
Yes, most Indian ordinary-passport holders need a Schengen visa for short visits. Apply through the country of your main destination or your longest stay. Our packages include visa assistance, but visa fees, service charges and travel insurance are separate.
No. Our Europe packages are land-only, so international airfare is booked separately. Direct flights operate from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, subject to season. Other cities usually need one stop, and our planners can suggest suitable timings from your city.
Packages commonly include hotels, breakfast, selected transfers, sightseeing and some intercity transport. Airfare, visa fees, travel insurance, city taxes, meals beyond breakfast and optional activities are usually excluded. Each quote lists the exact inclusions before you pay.
Yes, particularly France, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands, if the itinerary limits hotel changes and includes rest days. Pre-book family rooms and plan midday breaks, because long walking days can be hard for younger children.
A Paris, Swiss lakes and Italy route is popular for couples. It combines romantic city stays, lake scenery, art and upscale dining. Our [Europe Honeymoon 9N](/packages/europe-honeymoon-9n/) follows this route with private transfers, a lake cruise and candlelit dining.
April to May and September to October generally offer the best balance of weather, crowds and prices. July and August are peak season. December suits Christmas markets, but festive pricing applies, so book early for late December and summer.
It can. Travellers often say they wish they had planned a slower route. Long transfers, repeated hotel changes and too many one-night stays cause most of the strain. Choose fewer cities and build in rest days.
Cost depends on trip length, season, hotel area and the number of countries. Each package page shows an approximate land-only price per person, which excludes airfare, the Schengen visa, insurance and some attraction tickets.
