FAQs

Singapore cruises Travel Guide: FAQs

Short answers to what travellers ask about Singapore cruises.

How many days should I plan for Singapore on a cruise trip?

Five days in total is a practical minimum when the sailing is included. Our research says three days is tight, while five or seven days allows Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa and a heritage district at a relaxed pace. Ten or more days need a cruise or regional extension to avoid repeating the same sights.

What is the best time to sail from Singapore?

February and March are recommended in our research, because rainfall is generally lower. Singapore is hot and humid in every month, so the choice is mainly about rain and crowds. Check the sailing date, because cruise departures and itineraries vary.

Do Indians need a visa for a Singapore cruise?

Most Indian ordinary-passport holders need a Singapore entry visa, and a cruise call does not remove that need. Apply within 30 days before arrival, with a passport valid for at least six months. The SG Arrival Card is free but is not a visa.

Is Singapore suitable for families with children?

Yes. Sentosa, Universal Studios Singapore, Gardens by the Bay and Mandai Wildlife Reserve suit children, but each needs a full day and advance ticket planning. Keep the city days light, plan shaded breaks, and use the MRT or taxis between sights.

Are your cruise packages priced in a fixed amount?

No. Our packages are priced on request. We quote per person on twin sharing, excluding GST, based on the cabin category, sailing date and departure city. Flights, the visa fee, travel insurance and extras are separate, so ask for a written quote.

Which flights go from India to Singapore?

Direct flights run from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru to Singapore Changi Airport. Singapore Airlines, Air India and IndiGo fly the route, and the flight takes about four and a half to five and a half hours. Flights are booked separately from our packages.

Is Singapore safe for Indian travellers?

Singapore has established visitor infrastructure and regulated public transport. Take normal precautions, follow local laws, and keep passports, visas and valuables secure. Metered taxis and ride-hailing are available late in the evening. Stay on well-lit, busy streets after dark.

Can I eat Indian food and vegetarian meals in Singapore?

Yes. Little India has Indian restaurants and shops, and vegetarian options are widely available across the city. Singapore also serves Malay, Chinese and international food. Ask about ingredients and preparation if your dietary needs are strict.
