At a glance
Singapore and Malaysia sit side by side in Southeast Asia, and together they make one of the most practical two-country trips from India. Singapore is compact and well organised, with Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay and Sentosa. Malaysia adds Kuala Lumpur, Malacca, Penang and Langkawi, with food, heritage and better-value hotels. Both countries are hot and humid all year, and English is widely used.
A typical route starts in Singapore and moves north to Kuala Lumpur. The coach between the two cities commonly takes about five to six hours, and border traffic can add time. Kuala Lumpur brings the Petronas Twin Towers, Batu Caves and major malls. Malacca is a heritage day trip, Genting Highlands is a cooler hill option, and Penang or Langkawi suits longer trips. Read more about each country in our Singapore tour packages and Malaysia tour packages.
Nonstop flights reach Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Seven days is ideal for a first visit, and five days works if you skip Malacca. Choose from Singapore Malaysia Classic 6N, Singapore Bali 7N and Singapore Malaysia Thailand 9N, or ask us to customise one. Singapore needs a visa before travel, and we help with the application. Season guide
February to April is generally the most comfortable balance of lower rainfall, manageable heat and sightseeing conditions, with highs of about 32°C. Both countries stay hot and humid all year. June and July are relatively drier in Singapore, and December is the wettest month there, with higher festive prices. Rainfall varies by coast, so check your route. Plan outdoor sightseeing for the morning and evening, and keep midday for indoor breaks. See the full best time to visit Singapore and Malaysia guide.
Day by day
Based on our Singapore Bali 7N package. Your trip expert can stretch or shorten any day.
Land at Singapore Changi Airport and transfer to your hotel. Check in and rest after the journey. If you feel fresh, take a short evening walk around Marina Bay to get your bearings. Keep the first day light, because the next two days involve a lot of walking in warm, humid weather.
Spend the morning at Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay. In the afternoon, walk through Chinatown and Little India, grouping stops by MRT line to save time. Leave room for a hawker-centre meal and slower neighbourhood time, which travellers often say they enjoy more than rushing between attractions. Keep the walk around Marina Bay for the cooler hours of the day.
Spend the day on Sentosa Island, with Universal Studios Singapore, resorts, beaches and family attractions. Pick one main attraction and reserve timed entry in advance; tickets are extra. Beach time alone rarely fills a full day. Return to the hotel in the evening and pack for your onward journey to Bali.
Check out and transfer to the airport for your flight to Bali, which is booked separately. On arrival you are met and taken to your hotel. Keep the rest of the day free to settle in after the journey. Your planner shares the Bali hotel area and plan before you travel.
Today is a sightseeing day in Bali. We do not fix the stops in this plan, because they depend on your hotel area and interests. Your planner confirms them when you book, and lists any entry fees or activities that are included or extra, so there are no surprises on the day.
Use today at your own pace for rest, the hotel pool or a self-guided walk. If you want a planned activity, tell your planner before you travel, and it is added as an extra. A slower day suits the trip well after the busy city days in Singapore. Start the day with breakfast and a relaxed pace after the busy city days.
Spend a second day in Bali on sightseeing or free time, as agreed with your planner. A morning outing keeps you out of the midday heat, and the afternoon is free for rest. A guided outing or a spa visit can be added as an extra on request. Pack, check passports and confirm your departure timing for tomorrow.
Enjoy breakfast and check out. If your flight is later in the day, use the morning for a relaxed walk or last shopping. You are transferred to the airport for departure, with enough time for check-in. Your flight home is booked separately. Your planner confirms the airport transfer time with you before departure.
Budget guide
Starting prices of our packages, per person on twin sharing, excl. GST and flights.
Four things move the price of a Singapore and Malaysia trip. Singapore hotel location and room category matter most, because Singapore costs more than Malaysia. Trip length comes next, and adding Penang or Langkawi raises the total. Attraction tickets such as Universal Studios and festive or school-holiday dates also count. Finally, private transfers cost more than coach, MRT and rail. Flights are not included. Read Singapore and Malaysia trip cost.

Singapore needs a visa before travel for ordinary Indian passport holders. Malaysia currently allows Indian citizens visa-free entry for up to 30 days until 31 December 2026, with the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card required. Recheck both official immigration sources before you book.
