Phu Quoc is a leisure island, and the cost of a trip depends mostly on where you stay and how long you stay. Our packages cover the land part of your trip, and the quote lists every inclusion. Flights, visa fees, insurance and personal spending are extra. This guide explains what drives the cost, so you can compare quotes fairly and avoid surprises.
What drives the cost?
Four things shape the price most. The first is the stay area and hotel category. Budget options are guesthouses and basic hotels in Duong Dong, around the Long Beach outskirts and in Ganh Dau. Standard stays are three- to four-star hotels and resorts at Long Beach, Duong Dong and Ong Lang. Premium stays are upscale four- to five-star resorts at Ong Lang, Cua Can and Long Beach. Luxury stays are beachfront resorts and private-villa properties at Long Beach, Ong Lang, Ganh Dau and the Hon Thom area.
The second is the length of stay. Four nights suits the main beaches, the cable car and a northern day. Six nights adds Ho Chi Minh City, which adds a mainland stay and a visa step. The third is the season. December to February is peak tourist season, when demand is highest and bookings fill early. The wet months from June to September usually have lower visitor numbers. The fourth is the inclusions, such as breakfast, transfers and the sightseeing listed in your itinerary.
What is included in our packages?
Our Phu Quoc packages are land-only. The price covers the nights in comfort-category hotels on twin sharing, daily breakfast, airport arrival and departure transfers, sightseeing transport as per the itinerary, the Hon Thom cable car visit as listed, and visa assistance. The Phu Quoc Island Escape 4N package keeps you on the island for four nights. The Phu Quoc Ho Chi Minh 6N package adds two nights in Ho Chi Minh City, and the onward journey between the two places is extra unless your quote lists it.
What is not included?
Several costs sit outside the package and should be budgeted separately. Flights to and from Phu Quoc are not included. Meals not listed in the itinerary are extra, and entry fees and activities not listed in the itinerary are also extra. A Vietnamese e-visa fee applies where your route needs one, and travel insurance is extra. Personal expenses such as shopping, laundry and tips are not included, and GST is extra. Carry small Vietnamese dong notes for markets and small purchases.
How do you compare quotes?
Ask each provider for a written quote that lists every inclusion. Check the stay area by name, the hotel category and the meal basis, because a low price may mean room only or a more distant area. Confirm whether the cable car, theme-park entry and any transfer are included or listed as extras. Ask whether the onward journey is part of the quote, and whether the visa assistance covers the e-visa for a mainland stay.
Compare the number of nights and the route, not just the total. A four-night island trip and a six-night trip with a city stay are different products, and their prices are not directly comparable. Check the season too, because peak-season quotes can differ from quotes for the wet months.
Ways to manage the budget
- Choose a stay area close to the beaches you will use most, so you spend less on transfers.
- Pick four nights for a focused island trip, and add nights only if you want more beach or nature time.
- Travel between November and April for the most reliable weather, and book early for December to February.
- Ask your planner which excursions are included, so you do not pay twice for a visit.
- Carry small Vietnamese dong notes for markets, and compare the exchange rate before you change money.
- Leave a buffer for weather, because a rainy day may change your plans.
