Bangkok Pattaya Classic 4N is a compact first trip to Thailand: two nights in Bangkok for temples, markets and food, then two nights in Pattaya for a short-transfer beach break. It suits first-timers, friends and families who want a city and a beach without a domestic flight.
Day two covers the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, the Chao Phraya river area and Wat Arun, then a market or food district in the evening. On day three you travel to Pattaya by private vehicle, and day four is left for the beach, family attractions or the nearby islands. You depart on day five.
Pattaya is a convenient add-on rather than Thailand's most scenic beach, so choose it for ease and variety. If you want limestone scenery, ask us about a Phuket and Krabi trip. Read the Thailand travel guide and places to visit in Thailand before you book.
Your trip expert can stretch, shorten or swap any day.
Land at Suvarnabhumi Airport and meet your driver for the transfer to your Bangkok hotel. Check in and rest after the flight. Travellers often say the first day goes better when it stays light, so keep the evening for a short walk and an easy Thai dinner near the hotel.
Start early with the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, and dress for temples with covered shoulders and knees. Move on to the Chao Phraya river area and Wat Arun. In the evening, visit a market or food district. Group these sights by neighbourhood, because Bangkok traffic makes long cross-city hops slow.
Check out after breakfast and travel to Pattaya by private vehicle, a short beach-break transfer from Bangkok. Check in and spend the afternoon at the beach or hotel pool. Pattaya works best as a relaxed add-on with nightlife and family attractions, so keep the first evening easy.
Use the day for beach time, family attractions or the nearby islands, depending on the weather and your pace. Your planner can suggest options before you travel, and optional activities are booked at extra cost. Leave room to rest, since many travellers say they prefer a slower day over an overfilled one.
Enjoy breakfast and check out. Your driver takes you back toward the airport for departure, and the road transfer is planned with extra time for traffic. If your flight is late, use the morning for a last walk or some shopping before you leave Pattaya.
Flights are not included.
Two hotel bases in five days, so you unpack only twice.
Dress for temples: cover shoulders and knees at the Grand Palace and Wat Pho.
Do not schedule a late airport transfer on the same day as major sightseeing, because Bangkok traffic is unreliable.
Carry some Thai baht in small notes for stalls and local transport.
Check tuk-tuk prices first, and ignore anyone who says a temple is closed.
Breakfast is included daily; other meals are extra.
Flights are not included and are booked separately.
Entry fees and activities not listed, and travel insurance, are extra.
Thailand is currently visa-free for Indian ordinary passports; see the [visa guide](/visa/thailand-visa-for-indians/).
FAQs
What travellers ask about this trip. Your trip expert can answer anything else.
Yes, as a short first trip. Two nights gives you the main Bangkok temples and one market evening, and two nights gives a relaxed beach break in Pattaya. It does not leave room for Ayutthaya or an island change, so add nights if you want more.
Four nights in comfort-category hotels on twin sharing, daily breakfast, private airport transfers, the Bangkok to Pattaya transfer, sightseeing by private vehicle as per the itinerary and visa assistance. Flights, other meals, entry fees and insurance are not included.
No. Our packages are land-only, so you book flights separately. Our planners can suggest arrival and departure timings. Nonstop flights reach Bangkok from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, but check the schedule for your travel date.
Pattaya is a convenient beach break with short transfers, nightlife, family attractions and nearby islands. It is better seen as an easy add-on than as Thailand's most scenic beach. For limestone cliffs and quieter bays, consider Krabi instead.
Indian ordinary-passport holders currently have a 30-day tourism visa exemption, effective from 15 September 2026 until further notice. Carry a passport valid for six months and return travel proof, and check the Thailand Digital Arrival Card requirements before you fly.
Yes. Tell your planner if you prefer Phuket or Krabi, and the quote is adjusted. Those beaches need a domestic flight and more transfer time, so we usually suggest at least five nights when you make that change.
