Maldives Family Resort 4N is a four-night resort stay planned around children. You stay in a family villa at a resort in the Malé atolls, with breakfast and dinner at the resort each day. It suits parents with young or school-age children, and families of several generations who want one base.
Days two and three are for the beach, the lagoon and the house reef. Many resorts have shallow lagoons, kids' clubs and supervised activities, but this varies by resort, so we check age limits and lagoon depth when we quote. Day four adds a lagoon excursion by boat, and you leave on day five.
Half board, resort transfers, the lagoon excursion and visa assistance are included. Flights, drinks, extra excursions, spa treatments, travel insurance and GST are separate. Read our things to do in the Maldives guide for family-friendly activities, and see the best time to visit before choosing dates.
Your trip expert can stretch, shorten or swap any day.
Land at Velana International Airport and meet your resort representative. Transfer by speedboat or seaplane, depending on the resort. Check in to your family villa and let children settle. Have an early dinner at the resort. We confirm transfer duration for your resort when we quote, since long transfers tire children.
Spend the day on the beach and in the lagoon. Many resorts have shallow lagoons suited to young swimmers, but check the water depth and the villa's safety rails. Children can use the kids' club if the resort offers one. Keep the afternoon free for rest.
Try snorkelling on the resort's house reef. Choose a calm hour and stay with a guide or instructor, especially with children. Children can use life jackets or learn in the shallows first. After lunch, rest at the villa or join activities the resort runs for families.
Join a boat excursion on the lagoon, such as a dolphin cruise or sunset trip, arranged through the resort. Excursions depend on the weather and the sea, so the timing may change. Return for dinner at the resort and an early night.
Have breakfast and a last swim. Check out and take your resort transfer back to Velana International Airport. Seaplanes operate in daylight only, so we match your flight time to the transfer window before you book flights.
Flights are not included.
Four nights in a family villa on twin sharing plus children as per your room plan, with breakfast and dinner daily.
Ask about transfer duration, since long transfers are harder with children.
Check lagoon depth, kids' club age limits and whether the villa has safety rails.
January to April is the calmest period for children's swimming and excursions.
Always supervise children near water and use life jackets.
Flights are not included and are booked separately.
Drinks, extra excursions, spa, insurance and GST are extra.
Leave slack in the plan, since weather can move excursions.
FAQs
What travellers ask about this trip. Your trip expert can answer anything else.
Yes. Many resorts offer family villas, kids' clubs, shallow lagoons and supervised activities. Check transfer duration, lagoon depth, age limits and villa safety before you book, and choose the calmer months for easier swimming.

No. Our packages are land-only, so flights are booked separately. Because seaplanes fly in daylight only, our planners check your flight time against the transfer before you book.
Children can snorkel in calm, shallow water with life jackets and a guide. Keep sessions short, supervise at all times and skip rough days. Ask the resort about guided sessions and age limits for equipment.
January to April is generally driest and sunniest, which suits children's swimming and boat trips. December has the highest demand. Monsoon months bring lower prices but more rain and rougher seas. See our [best time guide](/maldives-travel-guide/best-time-to-visit/).
Yes. Seven nights allows a slower holiday or a split with a local island. Tell us your dates and ages, and our planners will adjust the villa type, meal plan and excursions for your family.
