Your trip expert can stretch, shorten or swap any day.
Arrive at Denpasar airport and meet your driver for the transfer to Seminyak. Check in to your hotel and rest after the journey. Later, walk to the beach for sunset. Seminyak has many restaurants, including Indian options, so dinner is easy to find. Keep the evening free, as the next day begins with a road transfer to Ubud.
After breakfast, drive inland to Ubud. Traffic can be slow, so you leave early. Spend the day on Balinese arts, temple ceremonies and rice terraces. Your driver takes you between stops at an easy pace. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon. Keep the evening free to walk around and have dinner.
Wake before dawn for the Mount Batur hike. The climb is steep and starts in the dark. At the top, you look over Lake Batur and the volcanic landscape as the sun rises. Cloud can hide the view, so the sunrise is never guaranteed. Return to Ubud for breakfast and rest. Spend the afternoon at leisure.
Check out of your Ubud hotel and drive to Sanur. The transfer is shorter than the airport run. Sanur has a calmer coastline than the busier southern beaches. Spend the afternoon by the sea and rest. Go to bed early, because boats to Nusa Penida leave in the morning and early departures give calmer seas.
Take an early boat from Sanur to Nusa Penida. Spend the day at the island's cliffs and offshore viewpoints. Roads and paths are demanding, so you cover a few stops rather than the whole island. Return by boat to Sanur in the afternoon. Return boats can run late, so the plan keeps a time buffer.
Check out of Sanur and drive south to Nusa Dua to leave your bags at the hotel. In the afternoon, continue to Uluwatu to see its limestone cliffs. Stay for the Kecak performance at the temple at sunset. Return to Nusa Dua for the night. Pairing both areas on one day avoids extra cross-island trips.
After breakfast, relax on the calm Nusa Dua beach until check-out. Your driver then takes you to Denpasar airport in time for your flight. Allow generous time for traffic on the way. The trip ends at the airport.
Flights are not included.
FAQs
What travellers ask about this trip. Your trip expert can answer anything else.
This 6-night plan suits first-time visitors, couples and families who want culture, a sunrise hike, an island day and coastal sunsets. The Mount Batur hike is steep and starts before dawn, so travellers with knee or heart issues, or very young children, may prefer to skip it.
Yes. Six nights is the lower end of the ideal 6 to 9 nights for Bali. This plan covers Seminyak, Ubud, Sanur and Nusa Dua, with one island day and one Uluwatu day. It leaves out north and east Bali, which need extra nights to visit comfortably.
The package covers six nights in comfort-category hotels on twin sharing, daily breakfast, private-vehicle transfers and sightseeing as per the itinerary, and the experiences named in the days. Visa assistance is included. Flights, other meals, unlisted entry fees, travel insurance and GST are not included.
May, June and September usually offer the best mix of dry weather and lighter crowds. July and August are the driest but busiest months. From November to March it is wet, so rain and rough seas can affect the Nusa Penida boat crossing and outdoor plans.
Yes. Indian passport holders generally need an Indonesian Visa on Arrival or e-VOA, valid for 30 days. Your passport needs six months' validity and you must carry a return or onward ticket. Tripstor provides visa assistance, but check current rules on the official portal before travelling.
The pace is moderate. Most days have one main activity, and you change hotels three times. Bali traffic is slow, so transfers take longer than maps suggest. Day 3 begins before dawn for the Mount Batur hike, and Day 5 starts with an early boat to Nusa Penida.
