Land at Denpasar airport and meet your driver. Transfer to your hotel in Kuta, which is close to the airport. Check in and rest after the journey. In the evening, walk to Kuta beach for the sunset. Kuta is lively after dark, so choose a relaxed dinner or an early night. Your sightseeing starts tomorrow.
Spend the morning at your own pace in Kuta. Swim, shop or rest at the hotel. In the afternoon, your driver takes you south to Uluwatu. Walk along the limestone cliffs and look down at the surf. Stay for the sunset Kecak performance at the temple. Roads are slow at that hour, so you return to Kuta late in the evening.
Check out after breakfast and drive north to Ubud. Traffic is heavy on this route, so expect the transfer to take a good part of the morning. Check in to your hotel and rest. In the afternoon, explore Ubud, the centre of Balinese arts and temple life. Walk its lanes and see the rice terraces near the town. You stay here for three nights.
Wake well before dawn for the drive to Mount Batur. Climb the steep path to the summit and watch the sun rise over Lake Batur and the volcanic land. Cloud can hide the view, so sunrise is not guaranteed. Return to Ubud and rest for the day. Skip the climb if you prefer a gentler morning in town.
Today has no fixed plan, so you can recover from the early hike. Visit a temple, browse the arts and craft shops, or book a spa session at your own cost. Walk through Ubud's lanes and stop for a long lunch. Ubud centre gets crowded, so go out early or late for a calmer feel. Enjoy a quiet last evening.
Have breakfast and check out of your hotel. Your driver takes you to Denpasar airport for your flight home. Bali traffic can be slow, so the road from Ubud takes longer than the map suggests. Leave early to keep a comfortable buffer before check-in. Your Bali holiday ends here.
Flights are not included.
FAQs
What travellers ask about this trip. Your trip expert can answer anything else.
It suits first-time visitors who want culture and coastline without constant hotel changes. You stay in only two places, Kuta and Ubud, with one main road transfer between them. The Mount Batur hike is steep, so seniors and young children may prefer to skip that morning.
The package runs 6 days and 5 nights: two nights in Kuta and three in Ubud. Day 1 is arrival and day 6 is departure. Our planning notes say five days is a good fit and six to nine nights is ideal, so ask us if you want extra nights.
You get 5 nights in comfort-category hotels on twin sharing, daily breakfast, private-vehicle transfers and sightseeing as per the itinerary, and visa assistance. Flights, other meals, entry fees and activities not listed, travel insurance and GST are not included. Personal spending is also extra.
May, June and September usually give the best mix of dry weather and lighter crowds. July and August are driest but busiest. The wet season runs from November to March, with more showers and humidity. Mount Batur sunrise views can still be hidden by cloud in any month.
Mostly relaxed. Day 2 is free until the afternoon, and day 5 is at leisure in Ubud. The busiest days are the Kuta to Ubud transfer and the pre-dawn Mount Batur hike, so plan for early starts on those two days. Bali traffic is slow, so we keep to one long road journey a day.
Yes. Indian passport holders generally need Indonesia's Visa on Arrival or e-VOA, normally valid for 30 days. Your passport should be valid for at least six months, and you need a return or onward ticket. Tripstor gives visa assistance with this package. Check current rules before you fly.
