Your trip expert can stretch, shorten or swap any day.
Arrive at Denpasar airport and meet your driver for the transfer to Seminyak. Check in to your hotel and rest after the journey. In the evening, walk to the beach for sunset. Seminyak has many restaurants and beach clubs, so pick one for dinner at your own cost. Traffic can be slow, so the day stays light.
After breakfast, drive inland to Ubud. This is the only long road transfer of the day, and traffic can slow it, so the schedule stays loose. In Ubud, see the Balinese arts and temples in the centre, then visit the rice terraces. The centre gets crowded, so go at an easy pace. Check in and rest in the evening.
Leave Ubud before dawn for Mount Batur. The hike is steep and starts in the dark. At the top, look over Lake Batur and the volcanic land as the sun rises. Clouds can hide the view, so sunrise visibility is never guaranteed. Return to Ubud for breakfast, then rest. The afternoon is free for a spa or a walk.
Spend the day in Ubud with no long drives. Visit temple ceremonies when they are on, walk through the rice terraces, or try the wellness side of the town. The centre is busy, so allow extra time for short drives. Your private vehicle covers sightseeing within the itinerary. Evenings are free for dinner at a place you choose.
After breakfast, leave the hills and drive to Sanur on the coast. Check in and enjoy the calm beach in the afternoon. Sanur is the launch point for boats to Nusa Penida, so you sleep close to the pier tonight. Take a slow evening walk along the shore and go to bed early for tomorrow's boat.
Take an early boat from Sanur to Nusa Penida, when the sea is usually calmer. See the island's cliffs and offshore viewpoints, and stop for snorkelling where conditions allow. Island roads are demanding, so you cover a few spots rather than all of them. Return to Sanur by boat, with buffer time in case of delays.
Check out of Sanur and drive south to Nusa Dua. Settle in, then head to Uluwatu in the afternoon to see the limestone cliffs. Stay for sunset at the temple, where the Kecak performance takes place. Tickets are at your own cost and sell out early, so book ahead. Return to Nusa Dua for the night.
Check out of your hotel in Nusa Dua. Your driver takes you to Denpasar airport for your flight home. Bali traffic can be heavy, so leave with plenty of time before departure. Keep your passport and return ticket handy for the airport. Your holiday ends here.
Flights are not included.
FAQs
What travellers ask about this trip. Your trip expert can answer anything else.
It suits first-time visitors, couples, friends and families who want culture, coast and an island day trip. The Mount Batur hike is steep and starts before dawn, and Nusa Penida has demanding roads, so older travellers should consider both carefully.
Yes. Bali works well for 6 to 9 nights, and 7 nights is a comfortable fit. This plan uses four stops, Seminyak, Ubud, Sanur and Nusa Dua, so you see the main areas without overloading any day or changing hotels too often.
It includes 7 nights in 4-star hotels on twin sharing, daily breakfast except on departure day, private vehicle transfers and sightseeing as per the itinerary, the Mount Batur hike, the Nusa Penida excursion and visa assistance. Flights, other meals and entry fees are extra.
May to September is the best window, with drier weather. May, June and September are usually less crowded than July and August, which are the busiest months. November to March is the wet season, with more showers and humidity, especially around Christmas and New Year.
Yes. Indian passport holders need an Indonesian Visa on Arrival or e-VOA, usually valid for 30 days. Your passport must be valid for at least six months, and you should carry a return or onward ticket. Our team provides visa assistance with this package.
You can talk to our planners about adjustments, such as more leisure time instead of the Mount Batur hike. Changes may affect hotel stays and transfers. Because Bali traffic is slow, we advise against adding many extra stops, which can cut into your sightseeing time.
