FAQs
Short answers to what travellers ask about Dubai.
Five days covers the main sights, and seven days adds an Abu Dhabi day trip and slower beach time. Three days is possible but tight, and fourteen days is usually too long unless you add resort or nature excursions.
Dubai is generally considered safe for tourists, with strong law enforcement and well-managed public areas. Follow local laws and customs, dress modestly in older districts and mosques, and take care in summer, when heat is a real health risk during outdoor sightseeing.
Dubai uses the UAE dirham (AED). The exchange rate against the rupee changes daily, so check the current rate before you travel and compare how much you receive before you exchange money or pay by card. Keep a note of the rate on the day you book your trip.
Yes. Arabic is the official language, but English is widely used in hotels, restaurants, shops, attractions and transport, so Indian travellers can get around easily and rarely need to translate anything on a first trip.
Dubai is on UTC+4 with no daylight saving time. India is on UTC+5:30, so Dubai is one and a half hours behind India all year. Check your flight times against local time when planning arrivals and hotel check-in.
Most Indian ordinary-passport holders need a UAE visit visa before travel. A limited 14-day visa on arrival exists for some holders of US or European residence documents. Confirm the rules with UAE immigration, your airline or an authorised visa channel before booking.
November to March is the most comfortable, with daytime highs of about 24°C to 31°C. December to February is peak season with higher prices. June to September is very hot, with highs near 40°C, so plan indoor activities.
Yes, as a day trip. Abu Dhabi is roughly 90 minutes to two hours each way by road, traffic permitting. It adds Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Qasr Al Watan, and a seven-day trip fits it comfortably.
