The Philippines is generally a mid-range destination for Indian travellers. Costs depend on how many islands you visit, how you travel between them and when you go. Our research does not give current price levels for hotels, transfers or activities, so this guide explains what drives the cost rather than quoting figures. Ask for a written quote that lists each inclusion.
What drives the cost
- Number of islands: each island adds transfers, and transfers between islands use domestic flights or ferries.
- Domestic flights: they raise the cost of island travel.
- Resort areas: they cost more than budget stays.
- Season: prices are highest from December to February, especially around holidays, and lowest outside peak season.
- Activities: diving, the underground river visit and other tours are extra unless your itinerary lists them.
- Visa fees and insurance: these are separate from our packages.
Budget, mid-range and island travel
Budget stays and street food can be affordable in the Philippines. Mid-range trips rely on comfort-category hotels, as in our packages. Island travel adds cost, because transfers between islands use domestic flights or ferries, and schedules can change. Plan one or two bases to keep costs more predictable.
What our packages include
Our packages are land-only. They include hotel nights on twin sharing, transfers and sightseeing as set out in the itinerary, and visa assistance. Flights to and from the Philippines and any domestic flights are not included. Entry fees and activities not in the itinerary are extra. Our two packages are Palawan El Nido 5N and Philippines Islands 6N.
What to confirm before you book
- Whether your quote includes the transfers you need between islands, and whether any domestic flight is part of the quote.
- Whether entry fees for sights are included, because they are not in every itinerary.
- Visa fees, if any apply, and travel insurance.
- The price per person on twin sharing, and whether GST is included or extra.
- Flight costs from your city, which our packages do not cover.
