FAQs

Philippines Travel Guide: FAQs

Short answers to what travellers ask about Philippines.

Is the Philippines a good first trip abroad from India?

It can be, if you plan carefully. English is widely used in tourism, transport and hotels, which helps. Island travel needs more planning than a single city break, because domestic flights and ferries can be unpredictable. Keep your plan to one or two regions and allow buffer days.

How do Indian travellers usually reach the Philippines?

Direct flights from India are typically not available on most itineraries. Most travellers connect through Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Hong Kong or the Middle East. Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila is the main international entry airport. Your planner can suggest connections from your city.

Which islands should I choose for a first trip?

It depends on your interests. Palawan suits coastal scenery, El Nido and the underground river area. Cebu and Bohol suit waterfalls, diving access, the Chocolate Hills and tarsiers. Palawan El Nido 5N stays on one island, and Philippines Islands 6N covers Cebu and Bohol.

When is the best time to visit the Philippines?

December to February is the most recommended window, with cool, dry weather. November to April or May is a broader dry-season option. June to October is wetter, and typhoons become a greater concern in some regions from July. The best-time guide has month-by-month notes.

Do I need a visa?

Our research does not give entry rules for Indian passport holders, so we do not state them here. Confirm the requirements with the official government source before you book flights. Our packages include visa assistance, but visa fees, if any apply, are extra.

How much does a trip cost?

The Philippines is generally mid-range. Budget stays and street food can be affordable. Island transfers, domestic flights and resorts raise costs, and prices are highest from December to February. Our packages are land-only, so flights are extra. Ask for a written quote with each inclusion listed.

Is the Philippines safe for travellers?

The main concerns are petty theft, traffic safety, weather disruption and transport delays. Keep valuables secure, use official taxis or reputable ride-hailing services, avoid isolated areas after dark and check weather alerts before island transfers. Conditions vary by island and season.

Do your packages include flights?

No. Our Philippines packages are land-only. They cover hotel nights, transfers and sightseeing as set out in your itinerary, plus visa assistance. Flights to and from the Philippines and any domestic flights are booked separately. Your planner can suggest timings from your departure city.
