About this trip

Seychelles Island Hop 6N is a seven-day, land-only trip across Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. It suits couples, friends and first-time visitors who want granite beaches, rainforest walks and boat trips at a steady pace. Two nights on Mahé and three on Praslin give time for the main sights, and one night on La Digue lets you cycle and visit Anse Source d'Argent.

Day two covers Victoria and Morne Seychellois on Mahé. Day three is the ferry to Praslin and an afternoon at Anse Lazio. Day four starts early at Vallée de Mai, and day five is a Curieuse Island boat excursion with its giant tortoises. Day six takes the ferry to La Digue for cycling and the tidal beach at Anse Source d'Argent, and day seven returns you to Mahé for departure.

The package includes breakfast daily, airport transfers, inter-island ferry tickets, the Curieuse excursion and visa assistance. Flights, Electronic Travel Authorisation fees, other meals, travel insurance and personal expenses are extra. For background, read places to visit in Seychelles and Seychelles trip cost.

  • Victoria's market, clock tower and museums, plus Morne Seychellois trails on Mahé
  • Vallée de Mai and its giant endemic palms on Praslin, with Anse Lazio
  • Curieuse Island's Aldabra giant tortoises and mangroves, reached by boat
  • Cycling lanes and Anse Source d'Argent on La Digue, timed to the tide
  • Three islands at a steady pace, with ferry moves planned between them

Day-by-day itinerary

Your trip expert can stretch, shorten or swap any day.

  1. Day 1: Arrival in Mahé

Land at Seychelles International Airport on Mahé and transfer to your hotel by private vehicle. Check in and rest after the journey. Keep the first afternoon light, and take a short walk near the hotel to get your bearings. Your planner confirms check-in times in advance, so the first day runs smoothly.

    BreakfastNight in Mahé
  2. Day 2: Victoria and Morne Seychellois

Start in Victoria before midday, when the market, clock tower and museums are open. Most sights close earlier than resort guests expect, so plan them in the morning. In the afternoon, take a guided walk on a Morne Seychellois trail, since less-marked paths are slow. Carry water and keep the afternoon flexible, in case cloud hides the view.

    BreakfastNight in Mahé
  3. Day 3: Ferry to Praslin and Anse Lazio

Take the catamaran from Mahé to Praslin, with your seats reserved in advance. Check in, then spend the afternoon at Anse Lazio, one of Praslin's main beaches. Keep this day light, because ferry travel and luggage take longer than expected. Use the beach time to rest before the forest visit the next morning.

    BreakfastNight in Praslin
  4. Day 4: Vallée de Mai and a quiet afternoon

Start early at Vallée de Mai, so you see the giant endemic palms before the heat builds. Allow time for a guided walk and photographs. Return to the hotel in the late morning and rest through the hottest hours. Keep the afternoon free for a swim or a slow walk, rather than a second excursion.

    BreakfastNight in Praslin
  5. Day 5: Curieuse Island by boat

Join a boat excursion to Curieuse Island, where free-ranging Aldabra giant tortoises share mangrove and coastal trails with visitors. Many trips combine snorkeling with the walk. Confirm sea conditions with your planner before the day, because some boat trips are nonrefundable and the sea can change plans. Pack water, sun protection and a light layer for the boat.

    BreakfastNight in Praslin
  6. Day 6: Ferry to La Digue, cycling and Anse Source d'Argent

Take the catamaran to La Digue and check in. Cycle the island's lanes in the late afternoon, and visit Anse Source d'Argent at the right tide. Check the tide times before you go, because the beach looks and feels very different at low and high water. The overnight stay gives you the quieter early morning and late afternoon.

    BreakfastNight in La Digue
  7. Day 7: Return to Mahé and departure

Enjoy an early breakfast, then take the catamaran from La Digue back to Mahé. Allow time for the hotel-to-jetty transfer and the ferry before your flight. Your private transfer takes you to Seychelles International Airport for departure, leaving margin for check-in and any ferry delay. Keep your passport, authorisation confirmation and onward ticket in your hand luggage.

FAQs

Seychelles Island Hop 6N: FAQs

What travellers ask about this trip. Your trip expert can answer anything else.

Is 6 nights enough for Seychelles?

Six nights covers Mahé, Praslin and La Digue at a steady pace, which suits a first visit. Two nights on Mahé, three on Praslin and one on La Digue fit the main sights. Add nights if you want more beach time or a slower stay on La Digue.

What does the Seychelles Island Hop package include?

Six nights in comfort-category hotels on twin sharing, daily breakfast, airport transfers, inter-island ferry tickets, the Curieuse Island excursion and visa assistance. Flights, Electronic Travel Authorisation fees, other meals, travel insurance and personal expenses are not included. Ask your planner for the full list before you pay.

Does the package include flights to Seychelles?

No. Our packages are land-only, so international flights are booked separately. Most Indian cities connect through one stop, with flight times from about nine to thirteen hours. Our planners can suggest arrival and departure times that suit your first ferry.

Do I need a visa for this package?

Indian passport holders do not need a visa for Seychelles, but everyone must complete the Electronic Travel Authorisation before departure. Visa assistance is included in the package, and our visa guide explains each step. Check the official portal before you book.

Is the island route easy to follow?

Yes, with planning. Catamarans link Mahé, Praslin and La Digue, but schedules are limited. Reserve each crossing early and allow time for hotel-to-jetty transfers. Keep a buffer before your departure flight, so a delay on the final ferry does not cost you the flight.

When is the best time to take this package?

April to May and October to November are the most consistently recommended months, with calmer seas and warm water for ferries and snorkeling. June to September is cooler and drier, but boat trips can be rougher. Ask your planner which dates suit your plans.
