Masai Mara 4N
- All meals
- Cab
- Activities
- Four nights at one Mara base
- Early-morning and afternoon game drives
- A full-day wildlife route with a picnic lunch
Masai Mara Fly-in Safari 3N is a compact safari: three nights at one camp or lodge in the Masai Mara, with a light-aircraft transfer from Nairobi as the main way in. It suits first-time safari visitors and couples who want game drives without a long road journey. Your stay is based in one area, so your time goes on game drives rather than moving between camps.
Day one brings the transfer and an afternoon game drive. Day two has an early-morning drive and an afternoon drive, with a rest between them. On day three you take a full-day wildlife route with a picnic lunch, and on day four you have a morning drive before returning to Nairobi. Your planner keeps the route flexible, so the drives follow the wildlife you see on the day.
The package includes three nights in comfort-category accommodation on twin sharing, meals as shown in the itinerary, game drives in a safari vehicle with a driver-guide, the light-aircraft transfer and visa assistance for the Kenya eTA. International flights to Nairobi, visa fees, reserve and conservancy fees not listed, drinks, travel insurance and personal expenses are extra.
Your trip expert can stretch, shorten or swap any day.
Land in Nairobi after your flight from India and meet your driver or representative. Connect to your light-aircraft or road transfer to the Mara, as shown in the itinerary. Flight timings from India vary, so your planner confirms the connection before you travel. Reach your camp in time for an afternoon game drive, and keep the evening for rest.
Start with an early-morning game drive, when animals are often active and the light is soft. Return to camp for breakfast and rest during the hottest hours. Head out again in the afternoon for a second drive. Your driver-guide chooses the routes on the day, so the plan follows the wildlife you see.
Set out early for a full-day game drive across a wider part of the reserve. Your camp packs a picnic lunch for the middle of the day. Carry water, sun protection and a warm layer, because mornings are cool. Return to camp in the late afternoon and rest. Ask your planner for a rest stop if long drives tire you.
Take a last morning game drive, then travel to your airstrip for the flight or road transfer back to Nairobi, as shown in the itinerary. Allow time for airstrip check-in and the drive to the gate. Your planner confirms your onward connection from Nairobi, so you have enough margin for the journey home.
Flights are not included.
Three nights is the shortest practical safari. Four or five nights gives more game drives.
Flights from India to Nairobi are booked separately and usually have one connection.
The light-aircraft transfer depends on airstrip schedules and weather, so your planner confirms the timing.
Check the baggage allowance for the light-aircraft leg with your planner before you pack.
Pack warm layers for early-morning drives, because mornings are cool.
Check malaria-prevention advice and any health documents Kenyan authorities require before you travel.
Reserve and conservancy fees are separate from the package unless your written quote lists them.
Visa assistance is included, but the Kenya eTA fee and other visa fees are separate.
Sightings cannot be promised, so the package is planned around game drives rather than one event.
FAQs
What travellers ask about this trip. Your trip expert can answer anything else.
Three nights is the shortest practical stay. It allows an afternoon drive on arrival, two full days of drives and a morning drive before you leave. Travel time from India is long, so four or five nights gives a more relaxed pace and a better chance of varied sightings.

No. Our packages are land-only, so flights from India to Nairobi are booked separately. Flights usually take about 10 to 11 hours with one connection. Our planners can suggest timings that fit the light-aircraft connection from Nairobi.
Your planner can compare the light-aircraft transfer with a 4x4 road transfer for your dates and camp. The road option takes longer. Any price difference is shown in the written quote, so you can choose with the full picture.
It can suit older children who can manage early starts and long game drives. Check each camp's minimum-age rules, and share your children's ages with your planner before you book. Malaria-prevention advice from your doctor is also worth checking before travel.
July to October is generally the driest period and overlaps with the commonly observed migration season, but sightings cannot be promised. November to May is wetter, with muddy tracks possible in April and May, and the transfer may be slower in wet weather.
