You arrive in Kochi and drive up to Munnar, where day three is tea country at leisure. Day four moves to Thekkady for the Periyar landscape and spice-estate country, day five is boarding your private kettuvallam through paddy-field canals, and day six continues to Kovalam for a relaxed beach day. Day seven is beach time before departure.

Arrive in Kochi and meet your driver for the transfer to your hotel. Once you settle in, explore Fort Kochi at an easy pace. Walk through its colonial streets, watch the Chinese fishing nets and stroll along the historic waterfront. Allow extra road time between the airport and Fort Kochi, as traffic can be heavy. Spend the evening together over dinner of your choice.
After breakfast, leave Kochi by private vehicle for Munnar. The hill road is winding, so the journey is the main activity of the day. Carry a light jacket, as the air turns cooler in the Western Ghats. Check in to your hotel and rest. If you have energy left, walk among the tea plantations near your stay.
Spend the day around Munnar with your private vehicle. Walk among the tea plantations and stop at the highland viewpoints that look across the Western Ghats. Wear closed shoes with a good grip, as estate paths can be wet. The day has no long transfer, so you can take your time, pause for tea and enjoy the cool air as a couple.
Drive from Munnar down to Thekkady after breakfast. This is the only long road transfer of the day. Check in and rest, then explore the Periyar landscape. Options here include guided nature walks, bamboo rafting and spice-estate visits. Activities that are not listed in your package, and any park permissions, are arranged on request. Spend a quiet evening among the forest scenery.
Leave Thekkady after breakfast and drive to Alappuzha. Board your private kettuvallam and drift through paddy-field backwaters and village canals. Lunch and dinner are served on board. Enjoy a slow morning on the backwaters, then disembark after breakfast. Your private vehicle takes you south to Kovalam. This is the one long transfer of the day. Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day on the sheltered beach. Check sea conditions before swimming and use the marked bathing areas.
Start with breakfast and a last walk on the beach at Kovalam. Then drive to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala's capital, for the departure transfer. If your schedule allows, the city has museums and cultural attractions to see before you leave. Your driver plans the airport or railway transfer outside the busiest traffic periods.
