About this trip

Cairo Pyramids 3N is a short, focused trip to Egypt's best-known sights. It uses one Cairo hotel for three nights, so you unpack once and see the sights by private vehicle with a licensed guide. It suits first-time visitors with limited time, friends who want a compact heritage trip and couples who want the Pyramids without a long itinerary.

Day two is the Giza plateau, where you see the Pyramids and the Sphinx at opening time. Day three is the museum day: the Grand Egyptian Museum or the Egyptian Museum in the morning, then Islamic Cairo and the Khan el-Khalili bazaar in the afternoon. Giza and the museum sit on separate days, so neither one is rushed. You depart on day four.

Daily breakfast, airport transfers, sightseeing by private vehicle and visa assistance are included. Flights, other meals, the Egypt e-Visa fee, travel insurance and entry fees not listed in the itinerary are extra. For planning help, read our Egypt places to visit guide and Egypt visa guide for Indians. For a longer trip with Luxor and a Nile cruise, see our Egypt tour packages.

  • Grand Egyptian Museum or the Egyptian Museum on its own day
  • Islamic Cairo and the Khan el-Khalili bazaar
  • Three nights in one Cairo hotel, with no hotel changes
  • Private-vehicle transfers and sightseeing throughout

Day-by-day itinerary

Your trip expert can stretch, shorten or swap any day.

  1. Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

Land at Cairo International Airport and meet your driver for the transfer to your hotel. Check in and rest after the flight. In the evening, take a short walk near the hotel and have an early night, because the Giza visit starts early the next morning. Carry your passport and printed e-Visa, and keep the first evening light.

    BreakfastNight in Cairo
  2. Day 2: Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx

Leave for the Giza plateau at opening time, when the air is cooler and the site is quieter. Your guide takes you past the Pyramids to the Sphinx and explains the site. Expect persistent sales requests around the plateau, and agree on a polite no in advance. Return to Cairo by early afternoon and rest through the hottest hours.

    BreakfastNight in Cairo
  3. Day 3: Museum day, Islamic Cairo and Khan el-Khalili

Spend the morning at the Grand Egyptian Museum or the Egyptian Museum, depending on your guide's plan. In the afternoon, walk through Islamic Cairo and visit the Khan el-Khalili bazaar. Dress modestly at mosques, such as Al-Azhar Mosque, and carry small Egyptian-pound notes. Bargain politely in the bazaar and agree on a price before you buy.

    BreakfastNight in Cairo
  4. Day 4: Departure from Cairo

Enjoy breakfast and check out. Your driver takes you to Cairo International Airport for your flight home. Cairo traffic can be heavy, so the transfer takes longer than the map suggests. Keep your passport and boarding documents ready at the hotel. Ask your planner for the exact pickup time the day before, and arrive at the airport with ample time for check-in.

FAQs

Cairo Pyramids 3N: FAQs

What travellers ask about this trip. Your trip expert can answer anything else.

Is three nights enough for Cairo and Giza?

Three nights covers the main Cairo sights if you keep one area per day: Giza, the museum day with Islamic Cairo, and a rest day in between. It does not include Luxor or a Nile cruise. For those, choose the seven-night package, which adds Luxor and Aswan.

What does the Cairo Pyramids package include?

Three nights in a comfort-category hotel on twin sharing, daily breakfast, private airport transfers, guided sightseeing at Giza and in Islamic Cairo, and visa assistance. Flights, other meals, the Egypt e-Visa fee, travel insurance and entry fees not listed are extra.

Does the package include flights to Cairo?

No. Our packages are land-only, so flights are booked separately. Cairo International Airport is the usual entry point. Nonstop flights from Delhi and Mumbai take about five to six hours, while most other Indian cities connect through a Gulf or Istanbul hub.

What time should I visit the Pyramids?

Go at opening time. Early morning brings cooler air, shorter queues and a quieter plateau before the heat and crowds build. Keep the afternoon for rest. Do not treat Giza as a quick photo stop, because the plateau needs several hours.

Is Cairo safe for Indian travellers?

Established tourist areas operate normally, but check current government advisories before you travel. Use licensed guides and prearranged transfers, avoid demonstrations, dress modestly at mosques and keep valuables close in crowded markets. Sales pressure around the Pyramids is common and usually harmless.

Can I add a Nile cruise to this package?

Not in this three-night package, because a Nile cruise needs a longer stay. The seven-night Egypt Classic with Nile Cruise package adds Luxor, a four-night cruise and Aswan. Ask us for a custom plan, and we will quote it with the same clear inclusions list.
